Eighteen illustrated ingredient types for The Quacks of Quedlinburg, with a starting bag for each player, a shared finite reserve for purchased ingredients and purchases that enter on the next round. First-book prices, two different colors per buying round and later-round ingredients are configured. Play alongside your physical game for ingredient effects, pot positions and scoring. Original artwork by Rollnook. Unofficial companion.
In a shared session, any player can roll or draw tokens without waiting for a turn.
The host can change this mode when creating the session.
Prepare your bags Each player starts with four white 1s, two white 2s, one white 3, one orange 1 and one green 1. This set uses the first ingredient books and their prices from the base game. Play with your physical pot, books and scoring track. Purchased ingredients come from a finite reserve shared by everyone in the session; white chips are unlimited. Designed for 2 to 4 players, like the base game. Brew a potion Draw one chip at a time without replacement and place it on your physical pot. Follow its ingredient book. You may stop before drawing again. Track the white-chip total on your pot: more than 7 makes it explode. For a permitted flask return, return the selected drawn chip from Inventory. For effects that reveal several chips, draw them individually and return the chips that the book tells you to put back. Buy ingredients After resolving the potion and scoring on your board, the host moves to Buying. Each player enters their available buying value under Inventory, then acquires up to two chips of different colors. The budget is spent as you buy. Purchases wait in Reserve until the next round. If your pot exploded, follow the board rules for choosing points or buying value before entering a budget. Begin the next round When everyone is ready, the host advances the round. Drawn chips and new purchases enter their owner’s bag. Removed chips stay out. Unspent buying value expires. Yellow ingredients become available in round 2, purple ingredients in round 3, and each player receives one additional white 1 at the beginning of round 6. Finish after round 9. Use the physical game alongside Rollnook Resolve fortune cards, ingredient effects, rat tails, rubies, droplets, flasks and scoring on your physical game. Use Inventory to return selected chips or remove a chip when instructed. If the physical game awards a chip outside the buying phase, choose Add from reserve and confirm when it enters your bag. This does not spend buying value or count as a purchase. This is an unofficial companion with original Rollnook artwork. Other ingredient-book sets have different prices and effects.
White chips no longer run out, so the round 6 ingredient always arrives and larger tables can start. States the 2 to 4 player design.
